Throughout history, Man has looked to chronological signposts to help us
predict and make order of the universe.
Perhaps the greatest signpost of the past millennium is approaching
quickly. This signpost, revealed by the ancient Mayan Long Count
Calendar is 2012. The 2012 Conference will show that many ancient
traditions are saying that the Great Shift of the ages is at hand. These
people of the past predicted that the world that humanity is about to
enter will be so different than ours, that this coming shift promises to
change everything, including the ways we think and live our lives. The
scholars attending this conference will present the research revealing
that a multiplicity of ancient cultures in different lands have all
pointed to the time period around 2012 as the year that things will
change. Those cultures include the Mayan, the Incan Elders, the Hopi,
the Aztecs, and 19th Century Europeans. There is a broader consensus
that this particular year, above all others, will be the year of
significant change.
The presenters at this conference come from a whole spectrum of
perspectives. Together they suggest that 2012 heralds a new age of
awakening and expanded consciousness .
The Mayan Long Count Calendar ends its current cycle in December of
2012. Instead of wallowing in fear of some dark future, the presenters
will show that we, the denizens of Planet Earth, are soon to witness the
birth of the grandest era ever experienced by man. In the end, the
choice will be ours. How can the average person make sense of this Great
Shift?
The presenters of the 2012 Conference are offering an entire day with a
collection of scholars and thinkers who have extensively explored the
issues, and they will share their knowledge and wisdom to inform and
hopefully illuminate their audience. The Conference will include in its
broad field of consideration spiritual, health, economic, and historical
analysis of 2012 and its significance to all of us.

Capsule biographies of the lecturers and panelists follow:
Dr. Alberto Villoldo is a Cuban American medical anthropologist and
psychologist who has studied and practiced shamanism in the Andes and
the Amazon for more than two decades, and has been initiated into the
inner sanctum by the last of the Inca shaman masters. He is one of the
early seekers of ancient ways in Peru and has studied intensively with
the Q’ero for decades. His books include Shaman, Healer, Sage, The Four
Insights: Wisdom, Power, And Grace of the Earthkeepers, Dance of the 4
Winds: Secrets of the Inca Medicine Wheel. In 1984, Villoldo founded the
Four Winds Society, dedicated to bridging shamanic healing to modern
medicine and psychology.
Daniel Pinchbeck is the author of 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl and
Breaking Open the Head. He is the editorial director of Reality Sandwich
and a columnist for Whole Life Times. His articles have appeared in The
New York Times Magazine, Esquire, Wired, Harper’s Bazaar, Rolling Stone,
ArtForum, and many other publications.
John Major Jenkins is a leading voice in elucidating the mysteries of
ancient Mesoamerican cosmology. An independent researcher who has
devoted himself to reconstructing ancient Mayan cosmology and
philosophy, John frequently travels to Mexico and Central America and
helped build a school in San Pedro, near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala.
Since beginning his odyssey of research and discovery with the Maya,
John has authored dozens of books including: Maya Cosmogenesis 2012, The
Mystery of 2012.
Sharron Rose - MA.Ed, is an author, filmmaker and Fulbright Senior
Research Scholar in World Mythology Dance and Theatre. She is the
writer/director of the feature length documentaries 2012:The Odyssey and
Timewave 2013 and producer of the Sacred Mysteries DVD Collection.
Jay Weidner - author, filmmaker and hermetic scholar. He is the producer
of the documentary films: 2012: The Odyssey and Timewave 2013 and
director of Secrets of Alchemy: The Great Cross and the End of Time, and
the Sacred Mysteries DVD Collection.
Harijiwan Khalsa has been teacher of the science of Kundalini yoga since
1975, incorporating a vast knowledge of various methodologies and
training into his practice. He directly served his teacher, Yogi Bhajan,
for many years while traveling the world extensively with him. Currently
a teacher at Golden Bridge in Los Angeles, Harijiwan also uses his
unique relationship with the sound current to streamline and open
elevated energy portals in consciousness. His Audio CD, Resound, has
garnered world-wide attention for its ability to create change within
the psyche and shifts in perception through the power of Gong.
The keynote speaker, Dr. Villoldo, will make his presentation in both
English and Spanish.
Ms. Rose’s documentary motion picture, “Timewave 2013” (about what comes
after the Great Shift), will have its premiere public screening during
the Conference.
